Alberto has over nine years’ experience as an economic advisor in UK competition and regulatory authorities.
He most recently worked at Ofcom, advising on market reviews, the competition assessment for the 4G auction, and on spectrum pricing. At the Office of Fair Trading he advised on merger cases, market studies and competition cases. He started his career at Ofgem, working on disputes, investigations, price controls and policy projects.
Before practising as a professional economist in the UK, Alberto was a research assistant in applied economics at Catholic University Milan and at the Florence School of Regulation.
Alberto has a degree in Economics from Catholic University Milan and a Ph.D. in Law & Economics from LUISS University Rome. He also holds an LL.M. in Competition Law & Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
